We moved into our lovely home in north Oxfordshire in June 2021. Over the last couple of years, we have been getting to know the garden, and in the last year, we have begun reworking it to accommodate our needs for playing, relaxing, and growing our own vegetables.

In the past year, we have begun removing much of the earth behind the shed. This had started encroaching on the shed and rotting its back and corners.
The space behind the shed has been levelled and will now be covered with a small retaining wall. This is a very shaded area of the garden, so a composting system will be installed there.

The rotting in the corner of the shed meant that we had to replace it, and this should now last a good few years. There is still much work to be done inside the shed, including new shelving and an area to put up tools. However, we have a new potting bench in place with a nice view of the garden.

By the end of the summer, we also managed to get three raised beds put in place and have lots of plans for 2025. But this is all for future posts. However, we may soon add a few posts that provide some more details of the work done so far.
